Learn our abdominal massage and other supportive therapies to help with painful periods and difficult digestion, enhance fertility, support pregnancy and more! Our posterior sequence supports the abdominal work by addressing structural alignment and optimizing nerve flow the organs. Based on the work of Dr. Rosita Arvigo and sponsored by the Abdominal Therapy Collective.
In addition to 4 days of in-person time to learn the anterior and posterior bodywork, there will be 4 online sessions for anatomy and theory, caring for specific conditions, supportive treatments like castor oil packs, steams, and plant medicine.
In our first online session, you’ll be introduced to our most powerful tool: YAM. Your Abdominal Massage gets you started right away experiencing the profound changes these simple techniques can achieve.

The dome has been my teaching home in Colorado since 2015. It’s located in a beautiful and restorative rural setting just 10 minutes from Boulder. There are plenty of airbnbs nearby and other options for lodging as well.

I’ve added an extra day here and extended the schedule so we can all enjoy time outdoors at this lovely seaside retreat. Tuition:

Schedule:
The in-person workshop typically runs from 9am-5:30pm each day. We will meet from 9:30am to 4:30pm in Tacoma.
Zoom sessions will be scheduled at least 3 months prior to the start of the in-person workshop. There will be three in the weeks prior to class and one the week following. Each session will run 4 hours.
Pre-requisites: Professional license in healthcare where manual therapy is included in your scope of practice.

This 4-day class prepares students to employ The Arvigo Techniques of Maya Abdominal Therapy® in a professional setting and for their own self-care. While it is a stand-alone class, and you will leave prepared to use the anterior techniques in your clinic, it should be considered Part One of two. The posterior techniques are offered in a second 4-day workshop and are essential for comprehensive care of your clients.
Prerequisite: Professional license in healthcare. Continuing Education Credits (CEU) are available for Acupuncturists and Massage Therapists.
